Quincy L. Allen
Chief Executive Officer
Quincy was appointed CEO of Vertis Communications in 2009 and is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Prior to Vertis, Quincy was with Xerox Corporation for 27 years. Most recently, he was President of the Global Business and Strategic Marketing Group, as well as Vice President of Xerox Corporation. He rose through the ranks of Xerox beginning as an electrical engineer, then serving in senior technical and management positions in areas such as supply chain, sales and marketing, and product development. Other key positions include Vice President, Worldwide Customer Services Strategy; Senior Vice President, North American Services and Solutions; Senior Vice President, Xerox Business Group Operations; and President of the Production Systems Group. Quincy earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester. He is a board member of the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc., the Electronic Document Systems Foundation and NCR Corporation.
Carmen Allen
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Carmen joined Vertis Communications as Senior Vice President of Human Resources in 2009. She provides strategic direction for Vertis' employee and labor relations, training design, talent acquisition, compliance and leadership development. Most recently she served as Vice President of Human Resources - Global Business Operations at Bausch & Lomb. In her 13 years at Bausch & Lomb, she was a strong advocate of Lean Six Sigma initiatives and global supply chain management in support of the human resources function. Carmen also served in leadership positions and key human resources roles at Fisons Corporation, Eastman Kodak Company, Levi Strauss and Emerson Electric. Carmen holds a bachelor's degree in business administration management from the University of Missouri, as well as an MBA from the University of Rochester.
Kathy Calta
Chief Marketing Officer
Kathy was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in 2009, and is responsible for developing and enhancing Vertis Communications' strategic and corporate positioning. Most recently, Kathy was a partner at Rosetta Marketing, a leading interactive marketing company that is a pioneer in personalized marketing solutions. Prior to Rosetta, Kathy was at Harte-Hanks for 22 years serving in senior leadership roles, including corporate officer of the company, both as Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President. Kathy led U.S. business units that delivered direct and interactive agency services, customer data management, database construction, analytics, technology and production services. In 2005, Kathy was named a recipient of a Stevie Award for Women Entrepreneurs, specifically "Best Executive" in the category of "Service Businesses - More than 2,500 Employees." Prior to joining Harte-Hanks, Kathy served with Landmark Communications, ADVO Systems, Inc., and a regional Pennsylvania department store chain. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in Art Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mansfield University.
David Glogoff
Chief Legal Officer and Board of Directors Secretary
David was promoted to Chief Legal Officer in 2009, leading the company's office of the general counsel in all of its legal operations. He also serves as Secretary for Vertis' Board of Directors.
David joined Vertis in 2000 and previously served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining Vertis, he was a corporate associate in the Princeton, N.J. law firm of Smith, Stratton, Wise, Heher & Brennan, serving in the business and finance group. At the New York City law firm of Flood, Johnston & McShane, Glogoff was a litigation associate where he specialized in environmental law and general litigation. A graduate of Tulane Law School, David is a member of the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania state bars.
Mike Kucharski
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Premedia and Technology Groups
Mike joined Vertis Communications as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Premedia and Technology Groups in 2009. He is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the premedia, packaging prepress, media, Digital Solutions Group, interactive marketing and creative services teams. Prior to Vertis, Mike was at Xerox Corporation for 18 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Graphic Communications Business for the Xerox North American Solutions Group. Other roles at Xerox include Vice President, Production Solutions Business Unit; Vice President & General Manager, Workflow Business Team; Vice President, Sales & Customer Engagement for Xerox's iGen 3 Business; and Vice President e-Services Marketing. Mike graduated with two bachelor's degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Bachelor of Arts in computer science and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in economics and statistics. He also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Doug Mann
Senior Vice President, Operations
Doug joined Vertis Communications in 2007 as Senior Vice President and General Manager to lead the Advertising Inserts division. In 2009, Doug's role was expanded to include Direct Marketing. He has had a successful track record with the company resulting in improved quality and productivity, $150 million in operational efficiencies, and higher customer satisfaction. Prior to Vertis, Doug was at Gannett, serving in a dual role as President of Minneapolis Offset and Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Gannett Offset Group. He has experience in sales and marketing leadership roles at Ariston, as well as C2 Media selling large format. At the Reynolds & Reynolds printing division that is now Workflow One, Doug held numerous positions within sales and sales management encompassing the business forms, commercial printing, and direct mail product lines.
Gerald Sokol, Jr.
Chief Financial Officer
Gerald joined Vertis Communications as Chief Financial Officer in 2009. He leads the Finance, IT and Supply Chain Management Teams. Prior to Vertis, Gerald was with AOL/Time Warner, where he held the position of Executive Vice President, Finance, and Operations. While at AOL, Gerald administered a multi-billion dollar budget and led business development, domestic operations, and the marketing analysis team. Gerald launched the AOL service in 11 international markets that generated several hundred million dollars of revenue through a mix of search, advertising, and subscription services and also led the IPO of AOL Latin America. Before AOL, Gerald served as CEO, President and Chairman of NTN Communications, an Internet game developer. Prior to that, Gerald was Vice President and Treasurer of TCI, the nation's largest cable TV provider, where he managed a $14 billion debt portfolio, handled multiple structured financings, and led several IPOs. Gerald holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado.
